HPP Tickled Pink to Support Breast Cancer Now 2026.

HPP employees have once again gone pink for a great cause, raising an impressive £400 for Breast Cancer Now as part of our annual Wear It Pink fundraising day.

This year's event surpassed expectations, with colleagues across HPP coming together to show their support for the UK's largest breast cancer charity. Now in its 11th year, our Wear It Pink campaign has become a much-loved fixture in the HPP calendar, bringing plenty of colour, fun and fundraising to the workplace.

While wearing something pink in exchange for a donation is a great way to brighten up the day, there is a much more serious purpose behind the event.

Breast cancer continues to affect thousands of people and their families across the UK. According to Breast Cancer Now:

  • 1 in 7 women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime
  • It is the biggest killer of women aged between 20 and 64
  • Around 61,000 people are living with incurable metastatic breast cancer
  • Approximately 920,000 people are living with or beyond breast cancer
  • A woman is diagnosed every nine minutes, while a man is diagnosed every day - equating to around 60,000 women and 450 men each year.

HPP has been supporting Wear It Pink since 2014, with the initiative originally organised and championed by our HR Manager, Carole Hamnett-Sadler. In recent years, our Marketing Manager, Kenika Gumbs, has taken on much of the fundraising responsibility, ensuring the campaign continues to go from strength to strength.

Kenika commented: "We foster a compassionate and inclusive workplace here at HPP, where supporting good causes is a regular priority. Wear It Pink is an important opportunity to spread breast cancer awareness and empower those affected by it."

Adding her own flair to the fundraising efforts, Kenika made sure nobody could miss her as she rode around the HPP site on her inflatable flamingo, encouraging colleagues to get involved and donate.

She added: "I'm all about creating change for the better for others. And I know this will help in such a big way for Breast Cancer Now."

A welcome addition to this year's fundraising was the involvement of our sinks and taps supplier, Reginox. Colleagues from their UK office in Congleton joined the campaign remotely, wearing pink and raising money alongside the HPP team.

A big thank you and well done to Team Reginox for getting involved and helping make this year's event such a success!

Behind every donation is the opportunity to make a real difference. Over the past 30 years, Breast Cancer Now has invested more than £300 million in developing world-class breast cancer research.

We are incredibly proud of everyone at HPP, along with our friends at Reginox, who helped make this year's Wear It Pink day such a success.

Raising £400 is a fantastic achievement, and we are delighted to continue supporting the important work of Breast Cancer Now. A huge thank you to everyone who wore pink, donated and helped spread awareness.
