Adding the cutting-edge Namuri décor foil to our Aspire vinyl-wrapped doors range has seen us break new ground by featuring at this year's FIT Show in Birmingham.
We are one of the first suppliers in the UK to sell Namuri, which we've launched in conjunction with Plasfoils, who very kindly invited us to share their stand at the NEC.
The FIT Show is billed as the UK's only dedicated trade show for the door, window, flat glass, hardware and roofing industry, attracting more than 200 brands and 10,000 visitors over three days.
Our National Sales Manager, Darren Booth, and Assistant Marketing Manager, Kenika Gumbs, joined the Plasfoils team on their stand, where they were able to share examples of how we have integrated Namuri into our made-to-measure Aspire collection as a range within a range.
Kenika explains: "Although FIT Show isn't our traditional core market, there is a crossover in the doors element of the show that fits with our Aspire and Namuri collaboration, so the chance to join the Plasfoils team was the perfect opportunity to 'show and tell' about our expanding product range."
Inspired by woodland colours, Namuri features deep woodgrain embossing and a sophisticated two-tone effect that captures the look and feel of painted wood, and is aiming to set a new benchmark in furniture industry design and functionality.
Our Namuri range features three greens - Noble Fir, Reed Green and Sage Green; two blues - Blue Spruce and Midnight Elm, an indigo blue; Blossom Mist, a cashmere; Frost White and a black called Ebony. All the colours can be combined with matching board from EGGER, Kronospan and other manufacturers.
Originating from South Korea, Namuri takes its name from a combination of two Korean words - namu, meaning tree, and uri, a term for togetherness. It is available in two thicknesses tailored for diverse applications, including decorative panels, profile wrapping, and 3D pressing processes.
Leicester-based Plasfoils is a leading UK distributor of premium decorative and functional foil materials, supplying innovative surface solutions to the building and construction sectors.
Chris Green, the firm's Business Manager, says: "With Namuri, we've created a product that delivers a realistic painted effect while offering robust performance.
"It is crafted using innovative embossing technology, resulting in a PVC foil that offers sophisticated matt and semi-matt finishes. Feedback from customers has been overwhelmingly positive, with many mistaking it for real wood."
Kenika adds: "The deep embossing provides durability, and the finish ticks all the boxes for modern décor trends."
All of our vinyl-wrapped doors are made-to-measure at our Oldham factory. They are ideal for use in kitchens, bedrooms, offices and virtually any furniture situation. The vinyl coverings are tough, hard-wearing and durable for many years of trouble-free use.
Another HPP trading partner, the Soudal Group, also had a presence at the show.
