Say hello to Amy Fairbank, who joins us as Marketing Co-ordinator in our 30th anniversary year.
Amy, aged 24, will be working on projects including our social media channels and communications with our customers, suppliers and staff.
Interior design and furniture trends, communications and social media are among her key interests. We think she'll be a great addition to our marketing team's activities, resources and support.
Amy attended Hollingworth Academy and Oldham Sixth Form College then completed a degree at the University of Chester. She has previously worked in clerical roles at the University of Chester and the MC Academy language school in Manchester and also in personal fitness.
Speaking about her new role with HPP, she said: "This is my first marketing position and I'm really looking forward to learning more about the company and the fitted furniture industry. Interior design is a big interest of mine so I hope to delve into that more within this role, working with suppliers and trade clients.
"I first got in touch with HPP about another position but my CV was passed on to Dan Mounsey, the Director of Marketing and Business Development. I wasn't aware of the Marketing Co-ordinator role but it is much more suited to me. At my interview, the HPP staff were very friendly and there was a good atmosphere. I was really pleased to be offered the job.
"I didn't realise HPP was such a large company. I thought there might be around 30 employees or so but there are nearly 200 across the two bases and regional roles. There are many different departments and activities. So it's an interesting environment to work in, with good opportunities to meet a variety of people.
"I really enjoy engagement with people - with staff across all the different departments, from manufacturing to sales and marketing, and with trade customers via social media. I enjoy posting content about finished kitchen and bedroom renovations by our customers, showcasing HPP products and sharing the latest fitted furniture and interior news and trends. I'm looking forward to being involved in HPP events too."
In her spare time, Amy enjoys the gym, caravan trips, watching football, gaming or playing with her bulldog. She is also looking to join a boxing club.
Look out for more updates on our 30th anniversary plans later this year.
