We're Joining KBB Partners to Support Charity Car Rally

We're joining other top furniture industry brands to sponsor a charity customised car rally across Europe to support two great causes.

The Vado Rally takes place between 7th - 10th June and will raise cash for the Rainy Day Trust and Variety (formerly known as the Variety Club) charities.

The Rainy Day Trust looks after people who have worked in the home improvements and enhancement industries including KBB tradesmen such as joiners and plumbers along with logistics, wholesale and retail workers.

Variety improves the lives of children and young people who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged. Its services include providing minibuses and equipment for homes, schools and hospitals, along with great experiences and days-out for youngsters.

Twenty teams have signed-up for this year's Vado Rally. Teams in fancy dress will travel in cars that are road-legal but valued at less than £500. The competitors will also take part in fun daily challenges wearing fancy dress costumes as they cross northern Europe.

After crossing the Channel from Dover by ferry, the teams will drive through France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden. They will go through towns and cities including Namur, Amsterdam, Luneburg, Malmo and Copenhagen.

Furniture industry magazine KBB Review is supporting the rally with their own team: magazine staff Tara McTigue (sales and marketing manager), Lindsay Blair (Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms editor), Henesh Chotai (Account Manager) and Deanna O'Reilly (Events Executive) are all involved.

Tara said: "We're so please to have the chance to take part in such a brilliant event as the Vado Rally. It's raising money for such incredible causes and should be a lot of fun - as long as we don't have too much car trouble! We've been busy decoratiing and preparing the car, so all we've got left to do is raid our wardrobes for some fancy dress!

"The industry has been very generous in sponsoring us so far and there's still plenty of time to donate for anyone who'd like to contribute."

In addition to HPP, other KBB industry brands supporting the rally include Blum, Uform, JT, Rotpunkt, Schuller, Virtual Worlds, Geberit, The 1810 Company, Masterclass, Hoover, Novellini, Franke, Articad and Nobillia.

The rally was first held in 2016 and raised over £65,000. But organisers hope to raise even more this year!

It would be great if our customers would donate to the Vado Rally, which is supporting two very worthwhile causes. To donate, simply visit: KBB Review's Just Giving page.
