We've recently completed the final stage of our biomass boiler installation, which helps to reduce waste sent to landfill by 200 tons per month, whilst heating our entire production and warehousing facility without the need for any gas or electric whatsoever. But this isn't the only initiative we've put in place recently.
In September 2012, we also installed one of the most comprehensive solar energy systems available, which now helps to generate electricity for many areas of our factory, warehouse and office buildings.
This was introduced alongside a highly efficient lighting control system, which manages our power usage so that electricity is only being used as and when required, reducing our environmental impact.
We've also made significant improvements in our transport and distribution department, which now involves carefully planning each delivery route to ensure it is as environmentally friendly as possible, ensuring our carbon footprint is being reduced on a yearly basis.
We're also in the process of implementing further eco-friendly measures in the coming months and years, which will further benefit our environment, and our overall product offering to our customers.
