We've recently made a small change to the soft-close mechanism on our Glide sliding doors. As with everything, there is always room for improvement and these new units offer several benefits over the old ones.
Trade customers who regularly order and fit our Glide doors will definitely notice the new mechanism, although in use it'll be hidden away on top of the doors and 'Mr and Mrs Smith', admiring their new sliding doors, will be none the wiser.
- Features a quieter, smoother hydraulic motion.
- Easier to fit: the self-locating top bracket means there's no need to measure the placement of the bracket. The new one fits in the channel and locates where the door is required to stop. It's then simply screwed in place.
- A more compact, enclosed unit: less likely to gather dust and debris throughout its life at the top of the door channel.
All new Glide door sets will now feature this mechanism as standard, making things even smoother during the installation process and for the end-user. A simple change but all round a significant improvement - making our Glide doors even better!
