The floodwaters have now receded but there's much to be done before we can reopen fully our Sheffield site. The focus now is on the significant clean-up operation:
- Electricity to the whole area has been cut off as a safety measure, and will remain off until the authorites deem it safe for power supplies to be restored. We've sent our in-house electrician over to install a generator to speed up the process and supply essential power during the clean-up process.
- Our IT team have rigged up a temporary network to get systems back online as soon as practically possible, replacing cables/equipment that have suffered water damage.
- External engineers are now on-site fixing damaged equipment where applicable.
- Damaged stock is being removed and the warehouse cleaned.
We're obviously not ready to fully reopen just yet but with the clean-up operation now underway it should be soon. Once we're able to safely open the site to customers we'll communicate it here, within the Account Dashboard and via our social media channels.
Unfortunately our Sheffield branch at Beighton has been affected by the flooding that affected much of South Yorkshire at the end of last week. As a result of this we are currently only able to run partial operations out of Sheffield.
The trade counter is currently closed so please do not travel there.
We are still able to process some orders from there and where this is not possible, we will try and service them from Oldham.
This only affects our Sheffield branch.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this unavoidable situation and are working hard to get things back to normal as soon as possible. Please contact the sales office on 0161 620 5656 if you have any questions.
