Less than three years ago we announced the installation of our new automated picking machines in our fittings department, which have been a resounding success. In actual fact, we've been so impressed with the performance of these machines, and the improved service and accuracy it delivers to our customers, we've just invested over £90,000 in a further two machines.
Together with our existing machines, the new picking towers will have a holding capacity of up to 5,000 products at any one time, and will help to deploy our new handles range quickly and efficiently, as well as further improving the locating and picking of our entire accessories ranges.
Each machine has been optimised to ensure the most popular products are in the closest locations within the machine, helping to improve efficiencies, and the speed at which your order arrives.
Customers can order any day of the working week up until 5pm, and have a guaranteed delivery slot the very next working day for our entire range of stocked accessories, making those final jobs and finishing touches on any kitchen or bedroom project much less stressful.
We have seen growth of over 20% in the last year alone, so it's been a vitally important consideration to ensure that our storage and picking facilities are expanding in line with, if not faster than, the company's growth to ensure we're keeping pace with customer requirements.
