Stuart Rose - Lead Web Developer

Year joined HPP: 2013

In the industry since: 2013

What does your role involve?
As Lead Web Developer at HPP, my role comprises of developing new online functionality, as well as maintaining and improving existing features for the company website, often in response to customer feedback and in line with the business's development plans.
Another responsibility I undertake is maintaining the data for the door builders & the product range offered within. I'm also responsible for overseeing the work produced by the junior developer in our team.

Favourite product in the HPP range:
I'd have to say Egger's Hacienda Black MFC; I'd Love to build myself an arcade cabinet one day in the future, and this board would be the perfect choice.

Best party trick:
Remember that character from the police academy movies... the one that makes all the funny noises?

Favourite movie quote:
(From Short Circuit 2 - 1988) "It's the all-new Johnny Five! Just look at these items! Increased memory: five hundred megabytes on-line! I come with a utility pack and dozens of gadgets for outdoor living, lots of Greenpeace stickers, and even my own Nike swoosh! And, if you act now, I'll throw in, absolutely free, my all-new, multi-frequency remote control!"

If you could choose to have your office anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Somewhere out in the mountains like the Swiss Alps, although I'd still want good internet access!

How did you first learn about HPP?
I was hunting for jobs in web development in the Greater Manchester area and found HPP.

Which three words best describe you?
Creative, Caring, Eccentric.

Who would play you in a film about HPP?
Alan Cumming - reprising his role as Boris Grishenko in GoldenEye.

Any claims to fame?
I used to work as security for music & sports events so I have met quite a few celebrities. The one that sticks in my mind the most however was the late James Brown - the godfather of soul.

Morning person or night owl?
As an avid video gamer I would have to say a night owl, although during the week I have to sleep at a sensible time to be in nice and early for work.
