Role at HPP: Sales Administrator
Year joined HPP: 2005
In the industry since: 2005
What is your role at HPP?
My Role at HPP is Sales Administrator. I tend to get involved in day-to-day tasks within the sales office which usually involves speaking with customers, processing their orders and making sure things are filtered through to our various departments quickly and accurately. The role is great as I get to speak to a wide variety of people from all different areas of the industry and chat to some real characters.
Best thing about working for HPP?
There's plenty of great things about working at HPP, but one of the biggest things has to be the people. There's a really nice vibe around our office and each department seems to work well together. It's nice to feel part of a valued team rather than a small cog in a very big machine.
Your biggest challenge since starting at HPP?
My biggest challenge since starting at HPP has to be learning all the products and product codes. We have over 3,000 products so keeping up with everything tends to take some effort. If you want to know a product code quickly though, you know who to ask!
Biggest market challenges you foresee?
Whilst I'm involved heavily with our products, I don't tend to get that involved in the day-to-day market and strategy. The key thing I would think though is the keep providing your customers with the best possible service - keep your customers happy and they'll support you in the same way you support them.
What did you do before coming to HPP?
I previously worked for L'Oreal which saw me change profession from makeup and shampoo to MFC. The differences as you can imagine are fairly vast, and the industries totally different, but the roles do have some similarities.
Any hidden talents?
I wouldn't say I have real hidden talents - what you see if was you get.
Favourite hobby?
I love spending time with my 2 grandchildren, they're great fun to be around and at the age where everything is still an adventure. It certainly keeps me on my toes.
Favourite Film?
I'm not big on films and tend to spend most of my time out with my family.
Dream holiday destination?
My dream holiday would be the Maldives, I have had that dream ever since I was 16 years old after reading about it in Woman magazine. I'm planning on making it over there sometime soon.
Biggest lesson in life?
