HPP's Chipboard Range
Most of the chipboard we process and distribute here at HPP is melamine faced chipboard (MFC), a fine grade chipboard which is finished with a melamine surface. This enables it to be manufactured with an extensive range of decors, making it ideal for interior furniture applications such as shop fitting, fitted kitchens and fitted bedrooms where it can be co-coordinated with items such as real wood or vinyl wrapped furniture doors.
There are only a relatively small number of chipboard manufactures in the UK and on the continent. This is mainly due to the fact that it is expensive to produce and requires a large amount of machinery, land and raw material. All Kronospan UK’s MFC is manufactured at their factory in Chirk, North Wales. Their range includes well over sixty decors with their most popular chipboard decors making up the Kolorband range.
HPP's Kronospan Chipboard Range
Egger have several MFC production sites in Europe with most of their UK production being carried out in Hexham in the North East of England. Their range is huge with hundreds of decors; however their most popular chipboard makes up the Zoom range where everything is available with a range of matching accessories such as edging tapes and MDF.

Finsa produce all their MFC in Spain, product destined for the UK is shipped to Birkenhead and distributed from there. Our range of Finsa Chipboard has grown recently to include several decors many of which are designed to match Kronospan and Egger.

The Sonae MFC we use here at HPP is mainly produced at their factory in Knowsley. This is a modern plant that has been specifically designed to produce chipboard using 100% recycled material. Similarly to Finsa our range of Sonae chipboard has grown considerably to include many decors.
