HPP's Chipboard Range
Most of the chipboard we process and distribute here at HPP is melamine faced chipboard (MFC), a fine grade chipboard which is finished with a melamine surface. This enables it to be manufactured with an extensive range of décors, making it ideal for interior furniture applications such as shopfitting, fitted kitchens and fitted bedrooms where it can be coordinated with items such as real wood or vinyl wrapped furniture doors.
There are only a relatively small number of chipboard manufacturers in the UK and on the continent. This is mainly due to the fact that it is expensive to produce and requires a large amount of machinery, land and raw material. Egger have several MFC production sites in Europe with most of their UK production being carried out in Hexham in the North East of England. Their range is extensive, covering hundreds of décors styles; the current Egger Decorative Collection 24+ is home to over 250 décors, together with a range of matching accessories such as edging tapes and MDF.

All Kronospan UK’s MFC is manufactured at their factory in Chirk, North Wales. Their current range includes well over 200 décors in an exciting selection of surface texture finishes.
