Extra Décors Added To Our Cut & Edged Board Range

We've extended our range of colours and décors for Cut & Edged boards, reflecting the latest furniture trends and complementing our best-selling full sheet and vinyl-wrapped doors offering.

Eight new décors have been added to our range of Cut & Edged boards which are now available in 18mm thickness; seven are from Egger - Premium White, Brown Grey Avola, Alpine White, White Avola Pine, Onyx Grey, Silver Grey and White Grey; the eighth new décor is Light Grey Grained from Kronospan.

These new additions to the Cut & Edge range reflect some of our best-selling full sheets and décors in our Aspire vinyl door range, making it easier to create a continuous, free-flowing design in any room.

The revamped range reflects latest colour trends in the kitchen and bedroom furniture markets. Consumers are increasingly choosing thicker components, moving away from traditional colour demarcations between kitchens, bedrooms and other spaces, and also opting for flat or high-gloss colours.

Dan Mounsey, our marketing manager, said: "Traditionally, 18mm-thick boards were used in kitchen components and thinner 15mm panels in bedroom furniture. However, we are seeing a growing trend towards the use of thicker 18mm products for higher quality furniture in bedrooms too and other spaces. So all our Cut & Edged products are now available in 18mm thicknesses to reflect this growing demand.

"Consumer trends in colours and décors are also changing. Traditional colour differences between kitchen and bedroom furniture are now increasingly blurred. New trends are also for flat colours and for fitted furniture to form part of a wider mix of furniture, fittings and interior design elements. This can be seen, for example, in the growing importance and choice of handles and statement floors, and for multi-purpose open-plan and broken-plan living spaces.

"Even traditional furniture designs such as Shaker doors can be given a very contemporary look, depending on design, colours and décor choices. Consumers now have huge product choices, a wide range of influences and are much more aware of design than in the past. Our expanded range of Cut & Edged products reflect all these trends."
