HPP Shortlisted for 'Made In The North West' Awards

We are delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Insider Made In The North West Awards 2018.

We are a finalist in the category for Manufacturer of the Year (turnover over £25m). The annual awards organised by Insider Media, publisher of Insider business magazine, highlight the pivotal role that manufacturing plays in the North West economy.

Award judges are looking for companies that can clearly demonstrate excellence, sales growth, increased exports and regional economic impact during the qualifying period.

Our entry submission highlights a range of successes at HPP in the past 12 months. Despite recent economic uncertainty over Brexit, we have achieved a significant increase in turnover, invested over £2million across the business, created jobs in a range of manufacturing and support roles including IT, sales, marketing and logistics and strengthened our emphasis on providing excellent service to trade customers across the UK.

We have a wide selection of our own quality manufactured products, backed up with our distribution of industry-recognised brands and coupled with outstanding after-sales and marketing resources.

Keith Wardrope, managing director here at HPP, said: "It's a great achievement for the company to be a finalist in the Insider Made In The North West Awards. Success would send out a strong, positive message about our contribution to manufacturing locally, regionally and nationally, as well as recognition to our staff, customers and suppliers that whilst we've been quietly going about our business over the last few years, we believe now is our time to shine. We take great pride in what we do and are very proud of our progress and business success to date."

There are 11 categories in the Made In The North West Awards highlighting a range of manufacturing specialisms including digital engineering and technology, automotive industry, supply chains, exports, apprenticeships, training, food and drink, and collaborative work. The ultimate regional winners will be unveiled at the awards dinner in the Lowry Hotel, Manchester, on Thursday, May 10.

Insider Media said the North West's manufacturers remain among the most innovative and dynamic in the world, and the region is a hotspot for manufacturing. Now in the sixth year, the Made In The North West Awards celebrate all that is great about manufacturing. The awards applaud the use of technology, the ambition to export and the motivation to train and invest in people. They are a showcase for the region and its diverse manufacturing industries, ranging from life sciences to artisan food brands.

The regional winners of this year's Insider awards will automatically go on the national grand final of the Made In The UK Awards later this year, where the best of British manufacturing will be celebrated.
